    Herb Brelsford
    Herb began playing the trumpet in the sixth grade on the same trumpet his father had when he was a kid.  He went to Bunnell High School in Stratford and played with the band throughout his attendance there.  Herb joined the Stratford Community Band in 1979 and has been a loyal and active member since that time. 

    Herb comes from a musical family.  His father plays the piano and guitar.  Several of his aunts and uncles play instruments as well and his brother is the organist at Assumption Church in Fairfield.
