Carol
Starkey, librarian for the SCCB, resides in Ansonia with her husband, Jim,a
tuba player and 25 year member of the Stratford Community Concert Band.
Carol
is a retired employee of the City of Ansonia, having worked as Executive
Secretary to former Mayors Thomas Clifford and Thomas Hallihan and retired
as Administrative Assistant at the Doyle Senior Center. She is a
member of the Ansonia Historical Commisssion and holds the office of Secretary.
Carol also serves on the Executive Board of the Birmingham Group Health
Services. She received the Bronze Pelican Award for her service in
scouting as a leader and religious awards instructor for the Housatonic
Council, Boy Scouts of America.
She
and hubby, Jim, enjoy the families of their two children, Mary, who resides
in Carmel, New York with husband Charles and children, Ali and Spencer;
and Jim, who resides in Wetumpka, Alabama with wife, Beth and children,
Josh and Jimmy. In her "spare time", Carol enjoys reading, especially
American history, music, and plays the piano for relaxation. |
